However self-mailers can be wonderfully effective... IF they&#039;re done right. (Like most all other forms of advertising, right?)

Fact is, strong copy on a self-mailer, if well-targeted to its audience, can capture the prospect’s immediate attention and lure them into the rest of the piece. It’s simply a matter of knowing how to do it right.

Unfortunately, most mailers don’t make a study of effective advertising. They “wing it” so to speak, hoping their efforts will pay off. In my seminars, I always suggest that no matter what your industry, take some time to learn how to create more effective advertising. Read one book a quarter, if that’s all you have time for. Heck, if you read just one page a day, you’d be learning more than the average businessperson… more than your competition.
